The first thing my husband said when he tasted these oils was 'OMG it's like I'm eating a tree' which was to say, it's the first time in a long time we've found an olive oil that actually tastes like it comes from a vibrant, fresh plant. Our Punchy Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made with Coratina olives and cold-pressed within hours of harvest to improve health benefits and maintain its unique flavour profile. It is a rich finishing extra virgin olive oil that adds complexity, fruitiness and flavour.
Our Smooth Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made with Arbosana olives and cold-pressed within hours of harvest to improve health benefits and maintain its unique flavour profile. This is a beautiful, balanced, golden oil that can be paired with most dishes.
Smooth Extra Virgin olive oil is a source of beneficial monounsaturated fatty acids and contains polyphenols and antioxidants. These are linked to numerous cardiovascular benefits, including a reduced risk of heart disease, improved cholesterol levels (by lowering bad LDL and raising good HDL), and lower blood pressure.
The peppery or pungent finish of our Punchy oil is due to the high number of polyphenols present. There is a substantial and growing literature suggesting polyphenols reduce morbidity, slow down the development of cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases, and may also have anticancer activity.
