Goldi Traceability Project
Most people in Australia don’t know what’s in their bottle of olive oil. The oil inside can be blended with cheaper mix-ins, be harvested at any time of the year, or come from multiple locations and trees of varying quality.
At Goldi, we believe that what people have come to accept as the norm does the industry, and the consumer, an injustice. Real extra virgin olive oil must be fresh, it should be local and people should understand the olives that constitute it, so they can learn and deepen their appreciation.
The Olive Tracer
If your bottle of Goldi oil contains a QR code on the back, you can trace the oil inside back to the grove it was made at using the field here, see the harvest date and learn more about the olive varieties behind the oil inside it.
How do I find my Batch Number?
Look for the code printed at filling underneath the barcode that follows the letters "BN:". This generally follows the best before and harvest date.
