Your 20L tin set-up guide
If you’ve just received your 20L tin and are staring at it wondering where to even begin don’t worry, you’re not alone. It might look a little industrial, but opening it and setting it up properly is pretty simple once you know how.

Step 1
Before you open anything, tip the tin onto its side so the silver plug is facing upward. This keeps the oil safely inside and avoids any unexpected spills.
Step 2
Once the plug is facing upwards, carefully unscrew it using a butter knife, pliers or anything you have on hand. It should come loose pretty easily.
Step 3
Take the tap provided and screw it securely into the opening. Make sure it’s nice and tight so there are no leaks. This is what will make pouring your oil easy, controlled, and mess-free moving forward.
That’s it! You’re set up and ready to refill and share! A little tip from us: place your tin somewhere stable and easy to access (like a bench top corner or pantry shelf) before you start pouring.
